Summary Briefing: 34th Green Climate Fund Board Meeting

From 17 to 20 October 2022, the Board of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) convened for its 34th meeting in Incheon, Republic of Korea. The meeting’s agenda focussed on the update of the GCF’s strategic plan, and included policy consultations on the accreditation strategy, the policy to minimise the effect of currency fluctuations on the commitment authority of the GCF and the policy for contributions from alternative sources.

Furthermore, the Board considered the approval of nine funding proposals (requesting US$ 593.1 million in GCF funding) and the re-accreditation of five accredited entities and accreditation of one entity.
