"Climate and SDG finance - Twin means of implementation"

Sustainable development and climate related activities are connected with each other in an intrinsic manner. Climate change impacts significantly affect areas such as food security, health and water availability which are key to achieve sustainable development and eradicate poverty. Mitigation and adaptation to climate change can only succeed if central and development relevant sectors such as energy, agriculture and infrastructure are engaged in a transformative process. Thus, development and climate finance cannot be considered separately since the two agendas mutually determine each other.

What are the key linkages between the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with regard to finance? This webinar will explore the key financial provisions and provide an overview of existing as well as potential future mechanisms for shifting and mobilising resources to tackle the twin challenge of sustainable development and climate change.
